Identify your region

For the Queensland Training Awards, the state has been divided into six regions.

For apprentices, trainees, and school-based apprentices or trainees :

  1. If you are employed by a Group Training Organisation (GTO), but hosted by another employer, please enter the suburb/town where your GTO is based, then click "display".
  2. If employed directly by an employer, please type in the suburb/town where your employer is located, then click "display".

For vocational students, type in the suburb/town you live/d in at the time of completion of your studies.

For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year applicants please follow the above directions for your nominated category.

For businesses and training organisations with one workplace in Queensland, type in the suburb/town where your business is located, then click "display".
For businesses and training organisations with more than one workplace in Queensland:

  • the business must determine whether it wishes to nominate as an individual workplace or as a statewide business. If nominating as a statewide business, the nomination must be submitted in the region where the business’ head office is located
  • if there is more than one workplace nominating, the workplaces must lodge separate nominations and compete against each other
  • if an organisation nominates as a statewide business, other workplaces of the organisation are not eligible to nominate
  • branch offices or subsidiaries of larger enterprises are not eligible to nominate for the Small Employer of the Year Award. However, franchisees may nominate if their training activities are organised independently of the franchise group
